Over the weekend of 24th/25th October our Explorers and Scouts have taken part in the annual Biggleswade District Hike competition
Each team competed in different categories, the Explorers had to carry all of the kit they needed to camp overnight and cook and evening meal and breakfast and still manage to walk for 42km over the two days! We had two Scout teams, our older Scout team of 4 had to carry all their kit just like the Explorers, but still had to walk 28km over the weekend. Our younger Scout team walked the same 28km but didn’t have to carry all their kit, but stiil had to camp and cook on their own.
Well, we managed 2 first places and a second !
Our Explorers won their category, Our older Scouts finished a close second to a very strong team from Henlow Clifton Scouts and our younger Scouts won their category, some of these Scouts were only invested on the Thursday before the hike!
