On the 12th October 2020, after 7 months of online Scouting due to Covid-19, we finally got the go ahead to meet face to face again. To make this happen we had to get several risk assessments in place, and have clear practices and procedures to ensure the safety of all concerned.
So the evening came, our parents heeded the instructions for drop off, the young people lined up socially distanced and sanitised while the leaders got everything ready then we led them off to the outside space we’d planned to use.
The plan for the evening was to just play some games and enjoy the outside again! It was really lovely seeing the Cubs again and the Cubs certainly enjoyed being able to run around.
We planned a challenging task relay, played splat and a team version of Rock,Paper,Scissors!
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, and the Cubs managed to maintain their social distance (most of the time!).
