This term Shefford cubs (blue and red packs) have been working towards their disability awareness badge. A few weeks ago we discussed types of disability, explored the High Street for things that might help or hinder the less able and held our very own cub Paralympics in the hut.

This week we had some special visitors; Dave and his guide dog Venus came to talk about sight loss and having a guide dog.

Brenda talked to us about hearing loss and taught the cubs some sign language, which the cubs picked up really quickly.

The cubs impressed us with their many insightful questions and all have a better appreciation of living life to the full with a disability.
